Date Rape is a big problem nowadays. Most people don’t really think about getting raped on a date, but it occurs more than you think. Don’t be afraid and never date again, there are some good ways to possibly prevent these things from happening.
Everyone should carry pepper spray. It's a good protection device because it is very painful, and will render the guy helpless if sprayed in his eyes. If the guy starts to get aggressive and tries to hurt you or wont stop when you tell him “no” then you should spray him.
Dating can be dangerous.
In an October 2002 study at the University of Tennessee, 25% of college women surveyed are victims of rape or attempted rape. 84% of the women assaulted knew their assailant. and usually alcohol has been used by either the assailant or the victim. Surprisingly, 10 percent of rape victims were male in 1999. Pepper spray will give you time to get away from the attacker, but you also have to be able to run, learn more about aerobic exercise no matter what your fitness level or age.
Facts about rape aggression.
In the USA, there is a rape every six minutes. A woman is beaten every 18 seconds; three to four million are battered every year. Three out of four women will be the victims of at least one violent crime during their lifetime.
When and where do assults happen.
Perhaps you think sexual assault happens only in certain high-risk situations such as hitchhiking, walking alone at night, or going out socially alone. Sexual assault also takes place in ordinary, seemingly safe places. In fact, about one-third of all rapes occur in or near the victim's residence. About one-half of rapes are by first or casual dates. Rape aggression defense and rape self defense need to be an important subject of study for every woman.
